i was thinking of converting my fat32 system on my disk where im running win2k, to ntfs, but i dunno if i should do it
does the system run any faster while being on ntfs?
and is it safe to convert the disk? possibilites to lose any data? etc
advices would have been nice |

if this is for ur home pc i'd say just keep it on fat 32.. ntfs is basically for more security features..
microsoft says ntfs does have faster boot up and is faster.. but i really havent noticed.
it is safe to convert. u wont loose any data if u upgrade. but if u wanna go back to fat32 u'll have to format ur hard drive. |

with ntfs the drive wont get as fragmented as it would using fat32, and as said before it does have some usefull security features, but at the end of the day on harddisk speed it wont make much difference for a home user. |
