Hello,

I r Michael Jackson
Prototrance
What a load of ing bollocks, I hate it when rumours spread.
(I'm not getting at anyone in this thread before the flamethrowers come out).

Scott is at the Pinnacle of his career, he's not just a GC resident anymore he's getting bookings all over the place.
Also, he compiles and mixes the GC albums which are selling like strap-ons to lesbians.

Would you retire if you were him?????????

Not the Source of the Rumour, We only added it and stated it was a 'Rumour' in biiiiiig letters so not to be taken as guaranteed, things like it always happen, and you'd rather know a rumour and find out its true, than not be told anything & it suddenly happen

I hope it won't, for gc & everyones sakes, but in this business u can never say never, so pls dont flame i:Vibes when we have said it isn't confirmed :)

I don't think it's all that serious. The initial rumour didn't come from just anybody though,

I think it's a pretty safe bet that Scott Bond is cutting his ties with Gatecrasher. This could just mean he's just ending his residency this NYE, or could mean that he's pulling out of the club altogether (Scott is heavily involved with Gatecrasher, not just as resident DJ, financially too). It's not a secret that Scott Bond has hardly played crasher at all this year. Not counting special events (such as Summer Sound System and NEC) there must be only 5-6 times this year, one of which was the Birthday night. I'm guessing he wants to spend more time concentrating on his career overseas, which is pretty much what he's been doing the last 15 months anyway, and is now making it official.

I think it's highly unlikely Gatecrasher are pulling the plug altogether. Their nights at Heaven in London are very popular and tonight was the first of a new Friday night Gatecrasher in Sheffield (UK) called Young Guns, showcasing new and upcoming DJ's. If anything, it's maybe possible they're moving away from The Republic and concentrating their main nights at Heaven but I doubt this is the case. The monthly Gatecrasher's have been popular and sold-out and Sheffield is the home of Gatecrasher.

So all in all, I reckon it's probably true that Scott Bond will be ending his residency at Gatecrasher and that's all there is too it, the rest is just the rumourmill.

This post was bought to you in accociation with the letter E.

edit: oh and before everybody goes round saying it's bollocks, go back and read some of your replies to the "Gatecrasher is going monthly" thread from a few months back ;)

edit 2: ivibes nicking stories from the UK forum eh? Tsk.
