Kinda off topic: What should i do?

| Hey everyone! well, im 16 and i live in the UK, and this is the last year ive got normal schooling, and i have been debating on what to do next for college... i have 3 choices, going on with my music, computer programming, or art. And i really wanna go onto music, do u think i should?... or do u think i should go onto programming where there would be alot more money involved... i would really appreciate ure help... thanx! :0) |

| I'd say your smartest choice would be: Major in the computer field and then the music and last but not least...art. You might just find that you can get a degree in both computer programming and music (who knows, maybe you can combine the two somehow....computer music). It's been a while since I've been out of college....so I don't really know what they're offering these days. In a perfect world, I'd say follow your dream but in the realistic world I'd have to say go for what will support you. |

Hmmm.... I should choose for the money. And when you made lots of money you should beginning with music. Music seems to me more like a hobby. And for hobbys you can choose later.

its not something u can go into.. drop everything.. and if anything goes wrong, u go back to school..

if u still dont know, well then its on what u were taught in this course
and in which kind of way they fit to your visions of your future life!

| you gotta figure out what you're really good at AND what you enjoy doing. that's what you'll wnat to pursue, also something that can be acheived as well, don't think big just yet in any of those things (i.e. if i go into music production i can be a big time producer...), no. you gotta think basic and PLAN ahead. ambitions are good, trying to live up to your biggest dream at the start is not. |

cool, thanx guys for all ure help! :0) after what u said, i think i will stay on with music and hope thats the right choice. Cause thats my favourite out of my three choices, thats what i enjoy doing the most... and thats all that counts isnt it?... that u do what u enjoy the most?...

well man... heres a lil advice from someone sorta in the same position
im 18, going to college in the fall
i will be majoring in information technology (deals with networks and that shizznit)... but i also plan on getting some decks and a mixer so that i can continue on with my musical development
i think ya should stick with the computers and college (if its tolerable... if will always give you somewhere to go afterwards). you will have plenty of spare time to develop your musical side over the years :)
also keep in mind with the whole college thing... that there is A LOT more than just programming that goes with computers... hit me up on icq, aim, or email and id be glad to talk with ya about all sorts of majors
but in the end... do whats gonna make you happy... nothing worse than being a miserable prick :P |

See I'm in the same possition and I say.
Go to the placewere you can get the most sandwiches.
If you got a dead end job you can't get much sandwiches.
But if you have a good job, than you will have a lot of sandwiches. See what I'm gettin at. You need Sandwiches to survive. Money = Sandwiches.
Life cannot susstain itself without sandwiches.
mmmmmmmmmmmm sandwiches.
But you don't eat sandwiches that taste bad.
just like you don't stay at a job that you don't like. Look, I'm just sayin that do whatever will get you by as long in is comfortable to you. Just get comfortable.
Sandwiches taste better when your really commfy.
