I'm from MN, specifically the Twin Cities. Just registered, but I've been lurking around TA for the last couple years off and on.
It's too bad there's basically no scene around here. :( |

I am from Minnesota, and I am happy to be here in Minneapolis. We have a pretty damn good scene here. JT, the main promoter for Plush at the quest brings in the top Trance dj's from across the world. We just had DJ Tiesto for the second time, we've had Oakenfold 3 times, Marco V is coming in January, and thats JUST trance. Phenix M is a great local trance DJ who opens up for the big names at those events and plays other shows too. I think Toronto is really the only place that puts us to shame as far as bringing in the Trance dj's short of New York and LA. Chicago seems to get about an equal amount of talent, and its only a 7 hour drive, 1 hour flight if you want to go see Paul Van Dyk ( I did last summer, it was worth the drive) or whoever else might be ripping up the tables in Chi Town.
what am I missing?

I'm just speaking of St. Cloud. It's terrible up here. Ever kid and their mom listens to rap. It's pretty lame I'll say that. The cities arn't that bad, well when I've been down there. So yeah, whatever. Just nice to see other guys from MN around here. If you guys have AIM go ahead and IM some time. I'm on cable, so it's normaly online.

Anyone coming from a smaller town outside of the big city is going to have the same experience I'm sure. All I can recommend is that you make the trip down to Minneapolis every Saturday for Plush at The Quest.
Great DJ's, Strong Drinks, and lots of cool people. |

Some girlfriends want me to go to Stargate tonight. I guess I won't be making that. Nothing better then listen to a bunch of rap. :stongue:
But yeah, I'll make it down to plush one of these saturdays. Getting finished with finals this week. So I'll have a lot more free time very soon.
Do you ever go to first ave. on Sunday for college ID night? I think I'm gonna go there this Sunday. Just curious. Later. |
