I was wondering what the relative prices were on things like Technics and mixers in the UK. i know most things are most expensive for us US people to buy there, but just was a thought..
anyone know how much a pair of technics would cost, and where i would be able to purchase some for cheap?
i guess the consensus would be "go to soho", and i guess i will, but i wanted to see if there are any other thoughts..
thanks

I got mine brand new mark 2's for £65o which is a very good price from me mate who also dj's. Beware of shops trying to con you, they will say, well it's £700 for the pair of decks, then they will tell you it come without cartridge, stylus and needles which in total would cost you an extra £100 atleast!
£700 with everything included from HTFR.COM is good value, shame about there vinyl prices:whip: |

| just search around! you can get them for far cheaper than 700! prolly pick a set up for nearer 640 now! and if you got any spare cash get a nice set of shiny new needles! preferably concordes! :D |

Indeed - their vinyl is too expensive - it would be ok if i did need some hard to find records - and if they sold them, but they dont seem to keep much in stock.
I use my local record store and juno.co.uk for most records - and dotvinyl for essential promos & white labels. |

True Joeh! They never have rare records in stock anyway! But their Dj Equipment is suprisingly good value.
If i were you Danky, i would try some severe searches and have a good look to ficnd the best prices as there will always be somewhere really cheap if you look hard enough. |

Do you expect a serious answer to that question? No, it costs less to buy stuff than it does not to buy it.
Evidently it is cheaper not to buy it, but if they wan't to buy it then they should look around in order to get the lowest price. |
