| ya know a lot of people (cant account for anywhere else in tha world) but in the uk a lot of people who goto clubs and stuff just take pills as its classed as "club culture" and a lot of people out there take them as it goes with the music and the night etc , although i dont take them as i see no need always on a natural high without pills and , but would help to clean up the scene a bit i suppose but wont really effect us in the uk :S |

The more attention this R.A.V.E. act receives, the more attention is drawn into the music. Kids and young adults love to do nothing more than rebel against society. Honestly, this is only going to help, not hurt. Even if this goes back "underground" as some people may claim, the masses will flock because of it's supposed risks and anti-societal ideals. Honestly though, I truly believe that cooler heads will prevail, and common sense will eventually overrule anything that comes out of this. Even if this does turn into law, the ACLU (which I tend to despise at times) and other oppenents have an incredibly strong case, which is primarily backed by basic logic and common sense. I'm honestly not too worried about this hoopla. Most of the commotion is coming from the media and their incredible wacky twist on things. Take the media with a grain of salt, and you'll see that this won't go too far, even in the worst case scenario if it is passed. Lawsuits would pile up quickly. |

lol.. sooon or later.. they will make drinking illegal again.. lol... if they do there research they will find that there are way more drinking related deaths then any drugs combined. hmmmm somehting they should think about.....

Alcohol and Cigarettes = world population control (mortality rate vs. birth rate)
Illicit Drugs = $ for U.S. government including local police, FBI, D.E.A. careers, political careers and platforms (i.e. current anti-terrorist funding jargon), under-the-table money swapping to foreign countries (uh, Columbia perhaps?), and on and on.

dood stfu! you dont know what your talking about..... but since i have witnessed pretty much all of the uk's club culture since 88 pretty much when it started... let me tell you what i know
drugs r pretty much what started the scene..... clubbing is all about having a good time.... drugs help this along more than anything. clubbing means expressing yourself thru dancing to let off steam.... another thing that drugs helps with.
if it wernt for drugs, the club scene wouldnt be as powerful as it is.
in the late 80's - early 90's ppl were going into fields, holding illegal raves. and basically everyone there would be absolutely obliterated on drugs, but all having the time of their lives.... for those few hours, everyone loves each other, and loves the music, it is because of these partys that the culture grew to be so strong.... 'the strength of unity'.
BUT.... im sure im not the onlyone who will say this..... in the eyes of the drug taking clubber..... YOU SELF RIGHTEOUS ANTI-DRUGS PPL are exactly what is ruining the scene.... with your narrowmindedness.... sluggish drunken behaviour and fighting...... leading to deaths.
indeed, drugs may be the end of clubbing in the US, but thats the US thats killing it....... dont blame it on us fun loving ppl loving, music loving drug takers, when your country is piling laws on to complicate the scene..... either way.... id sooner the club culture die completely because of how it is now, and be remembered as being the best lifestyle to be a part of, cos of the drug taking party ppl, and funseekers.... as opposed to dieing in the sense that it becomes over-run by the pissed up drunkard brawling narrowminders like you, and completely destroying the club scenes credibility.
if club scene does die (which it wont ever).. drugs will have been the birth and the death of it...... and i have to say, that im so glad that i have been ed off my face to witness it.

If ppl wanna do drugs that's their choice, if they willingly take or sniff or whatever knowing the risks then that's upto them and nothing we can do about it.
I'm anti-drugs cos I lost a good mate to them when i was younger, and it put me off them, but I can say that ppl who do them are still as good ppl (ste jay etc) as those who dont (fly mikey etc) so quit flaming ppl cos they do drugs and concentrate on enjoying urself when ur in there, wotever way ur gonna do it |

Exactly! I choose not to do any drugs. That is my choice, such as is the same with a person who does choose to do any. If you are going to do drugs because it enhances your experience, FINE! No problem. Just don't take 7 pills in one night and then SIT on the dance floor with you and 10 of your friends in the middle of a WICKED set and give me no room to ing dance! Grrrrrrr damned e-tards... |
