Mark your calendars, Rolls-Royce lovers: BMW’s takeover of the British super-luxury car builder from VW Group is effective at the stroke of midnight Jan. 1, and with it comes the first sales of the BMW-built Rolls-Royce.
Weighing in at between 5000 and 6000 pounds, we hear the 19-foot-long, four-door, five-seat luxo-carriage features such amenities as a humidor, custom-fit luggage, touch-sensitive door latches and door-mounted umbrella holsters.
Underhood, this Bimmer-Roller reportedly gets a 6.7-liter V12 engine that can push it from 0 to 60 mph in less than six seconds.
Other elegant touches? How about a motorized hood ornament that drops into a secure recess to prevent theft of the Silver Lady, as well as B-pillar-less, front-opening rear doors for easy access to the passenger compartment?
What’s it worth? Only those with real money can answer that question, but the list price is estimated at about $325,000. |

the Rolls lets you live in luxury where ever you drive it, is more prestigious than a BMW (with all the reliability) and the car wont cheat on you! :toothless | |
