| you guys are strange. Yea its not a typical Tiesto set..but doenst that make you happy? Im really happy when I see a DJs style progress instead of stagnating like a few other of the Top 10 DJs. I didnt hear the set he played there, but im really happy with his new techy edgier harder sound. I mean in Edmonton he even played Scot Project-F. Tiesto. Playing scot project. Who would have figured. |

"I feel it deep inside me.. I wanna ride it.. Can't fight it.. I might as well rely on the drum beat.. DJ pump the low end frequency.. Can't hide it.. I won't deny it.. Cause I'm addicted to drums and I'm a slave to the.. Dark Beat" |
known house track, spun by many house dj's already this year..Oscar G - Dark Beat :) i expect to hear this track again on Smirnoff Experience :D
great to see Deko-Ze tear the up, this guy never dissappoints..big up for Deko-Ze :)

lol, so NOT true ;) I had no anticipation for this at all. I was completely neutral throughout the whole day, and most of the night till we got in and Luke Fair got me moving. He was amazing. Dropped some dirty, riding progressive beats that got a lot of people moving. When Tiesto finally came on, the crowd was going crazy. It was nice to see so many hands up in the air for this guy. As for his set, overall...wow, really surprised me. I was movin the whole night :)
There were a couple of cheesy anthem's, but he also played some nice prog at the beginning, some more techy tunes and 1 or 2 break beat tunes. Nice variety :) The biggest dissappointment was when he ended. WTF was that!? He just cut the song, put his hands up in the air, clapped and walked off. Bull! He should've finished it with something big at least, like Universal Nation or Silence.
It was nice hearing Urban Train live...and one song that nobody mentioned that he dropped; BT - Flaming June  (???? remix). I know it wasn't the original or the PvD extended mix, but he did drop it. Unless there's a song that has the same synth lines as Flaming June...
The setup was really nice. I was glad that they decided to put in some lasers into the KH. Lighting was very well done and set the tone of the night well. I liked how around 3:15, during the breakdown of one song, then lights that were illuminating the KH went out and it was a lot darker in the room. Only the lasers and lights for the visuals remained intact.
It was great meeting all the TA's and partying with all you, and as always, the TA's are the highlight of the night :) Where ever I went, I'd run into some of you :) Never partied alone.
I wish the bass wasn't so damn high last night, then maybe the tune of the night, Breeder - The Chain, would've sounded better.
9/10 :)
Oh, and the women were :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

well here is my UN-Tiesto night, I spend the whole weekend partly in my bedroom either sleeping or partly in the washroom pucking.
that stupid "Norwalk Virus", I am sitting here finally able to move at all and that's the only reason I am posting at all! |

Thiz is my short review cuas I am too tired to type
This party was the one I had been waiting for...BEing the #1 Dj , I cannot believe he only spun for 3 hours...a bit disappointed, but still he rocked the house, with some classics as well as new ones.
I liked his set better last year, it had more spice to it, but this time around I just had an overall better time.
The VIBE WAS GREAT! It was very european-like as someone had already mentioned, lots of interesting ppl, everyone was nice, but my biggest disappointment is that I didn t meet any TA's....
ANYWays, I also loved the Rhythm is a dancer remix later on by
Deko-Ze, that is one of my all time fav's!
Cool night!!!!
Hope he comes back soon in less than a year!!
Peace!!!!! :happy2: |

Yeah man. That sucks, Russ was telling us about that. :( Well get better Art.
So now for more of my review:
What was with the sound?? I think Guv should hire sound engineers to come and tune their system. I mean all you could hear was the bass, everything else was distorted. But tunewise it was good. Tiesto was nothing exceptional but good I mean hearing Plasticboy - Silverbath, GTR - Mistral, Way Out West - Mindcircus (Gabriel and Dresden Mix), Conjure One Feat Sinhead O'Connor - Tears from the Moon (Tiesto Mix), URBAN TRAIN! and others. What I want to know is WHAT was that track right before he dropped Tears from the moon? WOW. I also mentioned this to Jon (Halo 20) that the set reminded me a lot of Mauro! I mean ...talk about techno/ish tunes. The only qualm about the whole set other than the sound was that there was no encore! WTF?! De-Koze killed it though! I mean that guy is amazing, saw him at Smirnoff Exp (the first one I think they had a year ago or so?). Really good. The women in that place, just jawdroppingly beautiful. Some were skanky but overall just very nice. Esp the brunette in the middle of the dancefloor in front of me. Yes the usual party people were out, ginos and their plastic girlfriends, numerous people with their shirts off, ewww...but meh I ignored it all and took in the GOOD in what I saw at the party.
Overall I'd have to say the party was just wow, really a lot of fun.:D
Chris.
P.S. BRING ON THA PICS!! |

Hey Sarah, it was good just not as good as his other performances
ask Simons what he thought about it. haha
Gabe is still sleeping. |
Uh oh...what the hell is Simons saying now? Did he not play enough epic trance? (Was it Dave that was bitching about how Tiesto doesn't play epic style anymore, or am I confused?) :)
Any word from Claude - she saw him at Aria on Friday, no? |

The rain is condensation off the ceiling. Hot air + cool ceiling = condensation. Not sweat. |
