I am looking for a soundcard that can handle 2ms latency. I don't really care about 96Khz output, 44KHZ is fine. Any suggestions? |

Might want to check out the RME Multiface w/ the Hammerfall DSP PCI card. Not sure what price range you are looking at, though. That will probably run you around $1000. |

If you're lookig for cheaper solutions, something with ASIO can go down to about 11ms.
There's a new thing out called Plugzilla which is a hardware rack unit that can host 8 VST plugins; even VSTi instruments so you can use all those plugins on stage for example. It's expensive as hell but it's supposed to have almost no latency. |

something like that would do just fine, what soundcards support ASIO with 11ms? |

An M-audio Audiophile 2496 or a Terratec DMX6fire would be more than good enough.
I own the latter, and I can achieve a 3 ms latency with it. The Audiophile has less features but a slightly cleaner sound. |

thanx for the info, I did some research and both of these cards seem pretty attractive, so I am having a hard time on deciding which card to get, since they both have their pros and cons :conf: |

Indeed...I got the TerraTec DMX6fire 24/96.
Nice one :) It even got ASIO-2 Support which means you can create your tracks in Dolby 5.1 :p
The latency is fine too of course :) 4ms :p |

Really as long as you have latency lower than 10 ms it's real good. You won't really notice much change below that. |
