a little secret about Mark Oliver...
I was walking by a soccer field near centential park and there was a game going on. The ball rolled towards me, and this short guy picked it up and was about to do a THROW IN. When I said. "Hey It's Mark Oliver, whats up?" he looked up and said with tears in his eyes "Yes I play soccer!! Just don't tell anyone about this!" |

That is the BEST news I've heard all day! He KILLS it at VIVA:eyes: Last time I was there I yelled "PLAY THIS AT GUV" he laughed:D I'm hoping it's the set that I heard last time I was there. Cause he played some tracks that blew my mind. IMO for a trance set to blow my mind these days. The D.J has to throw in a lot of songs that I've never heard. Sure I like hearing the odd Anthem. But numerous times Mark has played songs that I've never heard before, yet fell in love the secound I heard them. That's what I always point out to people. If you hear a song for the first time and think "DAMM THIS IS A GOOD SONG!" Just imagine after a couple of listens!:eyes: Was he wearing a hat that night???? Anyways it dosen't really matter cause he plays a lot of the same songs everytime there. Just like he did at MEOW back in the day. The only bad thing about only hearing Mark at clubs besides Guvernment, is that you never get to hear his full potential... Ah man I gotta shut up:D I could go on for days about the guy!:D :D :D |

Uh, what's that supposed to mean? He only plays well at Guv and no where else??

Uh, did you read the rest of my message? When he plays at Guv, he plays a 9 hour set, which changes in style from week to week. When he plays other clubs he's a lot more restricted in terms of what he can play. At Guv he can play what he wants, and does. Where ever he spins he always throws in a couple of his signature tunes. But Guv is where he tries new things and pushes the limits. |
