I Recently upgraded from Win98 to Win XP Pro , Yes its warez , but who cares, what aint these days.
Its running really great on my 2.2Ghz Custom Built PC , on a 21" Monitor its looks fine , running XP Tweak Tools to add all those Transparent Effects. Nothing has crashed yet and it been running for 4 weeks now. Im currently putting it on my laptop right now, lets hope everything is ok . I did try Linux , but i hated it, too much messing around compiling the Kernel.
what you using ? |

| ive had no problems with xp pro... the only thing is that the networking is a bit quirky but after i upgraded to sp1 i havent really had problems. other than that everyting works really well. i tried linux also but i got sick of trying to figure things out.... to me an OS oporates for you... youre not suppsed to work hard to make it work. linux didnt make my life easier so i switched back. |

linux is by far the suppier operating system when set up rite, it takes a lot of understanding from teh user to get it set up rite, but when it is set up it rocks!

same here, xp pro rocks! been using it ever since it came out, even the beta version was loads better than 98. I was dual booting 98 with win2000 but with xp, it wasn't necessary. |

Heh, I used to have ME, so the XP upgrade was NEEDED!!! Wow, ME was worthless. Not I have a friend of mine with ME and she's having all sorts of problems. So I'm trying to get her to get XP. One of my biggest problems with ME was my firewire card for my laptop. Damn thing wouldnt work. Once XP was installed, not a problem. So now I have firewire for my external HD and my DV camera. Fun Fun. |

| I have been using XP pro corp before it came out. It is the best windows OS ever. It is too bloated, minor bugs, and too many unnessary stuff |
