As long as we keep the spamming to a minimum I don't see why it should close. It really shouldn't matter whether or not we post here or in a newly created thread, it's still posting no matter which way you look at it.
Most well planned forums have an off topic thread. I understand there is a "Chill Out Room," but it's not located in the East Coast (Yeah okay, New York) forum so it's not quite the same.
I dunno, that's just my $.02 so don't try to take it for any more than it's worth. |

well i used it for talking not for post counts.
Yeah i agree make it so that post in there don't count so we don't have people coming in there to spam and just get their post count up. |

Look at it this way, if were not chatting in the PPR, were making several new threads a day and chatting in there about stuff that could have been talked about in PPR.
How about this, instead of making a PPR... make a thread called the "Northeast Chat Room" |

| i will make one post on the matter. first off, i have stated since the day that the PPR was closed that there was no reason for it closing. and no one even gave a reasonable explantion as to why it was closed. why wasnt it just removed from sticky? then, if no one posted it would disappear. but if we had something completely random to say, such as Bree's happy hump day thread, we could put it there. i mean, everyone complains about thread jacking and useless posts... well thats what the PPR room was for. if im not mistaken while it was up, there was a very limited amount of random useless threads. also, thread jacking was kept to a minimum. i dunno... if you notice, the PPR started getting ty when summer started. and now that summer is over i think it wouldve gotten better. during summer we are all busy everynite. but during school, we have nothing better to do than sit on the comp and make dumb posts. and if the actual idea of 'POST PADDING' was the reason for the closing, then do as everyone said and make it so posts dont count there, like in the chill out room. my rant for the day. |
