no I'm not planning anything, but i was just wondering if there was any, cause i've been myself a rotary exchange student. I was in Canada for one year in New-Brunswick. I lived in a host family and went to high-school and of course improved my english a lot. It was 5 years ago... snif snif I was 17 - 18 years old when I did that. It's the most fabulous year of my life. I still think about it a lot. I love Canada!!!!!! :toocool:

Has any of you done something similar? I'd like to hear about your stories and what you think about such an experience! come on don't be shy tell me!!!!

:tongue3

I went a long time ago to Cambridge for 3 months to learn English.. When I filled up an application, I wrote that I don't want my host family to have children or pets.. and my twin sister wrote the opposite, so they mixed us up and my host family was from Pakistan.. with 3 little children, dogs, cats and everything. I lost 15 kg while I was there cause all they were feeding me was steamed vegetables. They wanted me to babysit their kids and pets.. and they would impose a curfew, then call my mother if I didn't show up on time (which was often, but my mother didn't care as long as I showed up eventually and couldn't do anything about it).
Other then that, it was amazing. Lots of fun people, cool parties and just hanging out. Lots of free time to travel around UK.
