| It is sad to see that in America there is no common sense at all, because if she'd go to her lawyer and said that she wanted to sue MCD for making her fat, he'd probably laugh in her face and tell her she's stupid idiot. | A while before this I heard that Burger King was (I read this in Newsweek I think) going to put up some advisory warnings on their boxes of food showing how a medium fries has 400 calories in it. I think that is a good thing to do because although it's really obvious that the food is bad for you, it's really not so obvious to me that it could be possibly that bad...since then (and since I worked at Burger King, which mostly just did it for me forever) I can't bring myself to eat more than like a kids meal of that stuff... I think since they put nutrition facts on food we buy in the store and people are obviously confused about the nutrition facts or lack thereof for fast food which is as popular as BK and Mickey D's, it can't hurt to put up some advisory warnings. Suing, though...unnacceptable. Did you ever hear about the fat people suing planes because they were being made to pay for 2 seats since they couldn't fit into 1?? |
