or does anyone happen to know off the top of their head anything good coming up? |

otherwise on the clubbing scene we're not really full of excitement here apart from an awesome club that recently opened ( hosting big name djs ) with the down side that it's 21+

when you coming around here in our little "corner" of heaven :haha:
if you want to we can work something out, like going down south to dayton or columbus which has better parties ( but you gotta be tolerant for the kandi ravers :p )

i'm up here in Akron right now with my fiance, visiting my mom and grandparents.
i saw Goldie is gonna be here the 27th but other than that everything looks dead, and yah me and my fiance are very tolerant of kandi ravers :D
we're up here till Jan 3rd, my fiance's 19 so we're limited to 18+ raves/parties, we definately are looking for something for new years but only thing i can find is that ferry corsten/bt party in chicago which is a journey and a half |

Although we don't bill the event as a "trance" event, there's enough of it to satisfy me, and I hit every major trance party at the Winter Music Conference last year! It's definitely on the harder, darker, more progressive side. Please introduce yourselves! I'll be at the door.

from what I've read and heard abbasso is a nice place but I won't be able to check it out before a while :rolleyes:
you mind doing a special guestlist? with me getting in despite the fact I'm 20 :D |

Painfully :sadgreen: aware of that fact! We've asked and pushed and asked the management and ownership to allow us to open it up to 18+, but unfortunately, some folks ruined it for everyone else a while back. I know it's a bummer when all you really want is a cool place to hang out and listen to some music and dance ...
Apparently, way before HeadRush Music came to town, when it was 18+ at Abbasso it eventually got out of hand. Not only were 21+ flagrantly buying drinks for 20-, the 20- were smuggling in six-packs and 40's and LEAVING THEM AROUND THE CLUB! AND, they were so wasted one night, they completely vandalized the bathroom. Not cool. Not PLUR. Not legal. Not good. No class. We can't risk it again.
What I can suggest, though, is the upstairs of Abbasso: Bottoms Up. It is a restaurant with a really neat atmosphere. High ceilings, candles, city street view. The kitchen serves until midnight. The sound from Abbasso downstairs is wired through the system upstairs; as far as I know, no one will card you to eat and hang out at Bottoms Up...and no one will look twice if you just have to break out into a kick-step in the middle of the place... ;)
