Battlefield 1942 (need help)

| I have a 1.4ghz pentium, tnt2 nvidia and 256 ram and win 98.. And when i run Battlefield the screen is all blue..(i've set the graphics settings to low) is it because my comp. is not good enough for it ? |

| Try installing the newst graphics drivers m8, or see if there is a game patch |

Agreed.. A TNT2 will NOT run this game good.. at all.. Get a Radeon 8500, mine runs it great.. |

| How much memory is on the TNT2?.. I know for a fact that GTA3 on PC simply refuses to run unless ur graphics card has a 16+meg video card, so maybe Battlefield has somethin like this, but needs an even higher amount of memory?..i dunno, If anything, it will be ur graphics card. That or the fact ur running Win98?..but i doubt the latter. |

| BF1942 requires T&L which your old/ghetto card dont support. I recommend a radeon 9500 Pro or higher |

They are 16mb cards.. I used to have one.. It was cool, until I started playing games other than Quake :p |

They are 32mb... anyway i'm going to get geforce fx .. it's not out yet is it? |

yea its 32mb i have the same one...geforce fx comes out very soon in february i suppose :) but its gonna be really expensive! ill say around 600 bucks! i wud rather buy a Ti4600 coz its gonna drop to 250 bucks and it is still 1 of the best cards out there on the market :) |

I've got:
1.7 Ghz Intel >>Celeron<<
256 MB RAM
plenty of HD space... over 5 gigs, at 7200 RPM
52X cd-rom
ATI Radeon 7500 128MB
on WindowsXP
It doesn't seem like I have a speed problem.
I've also got all the latest patches for gfx, sound and game.
And when I played Battlefield 1942 at LOW graphics settings, it's still choppy as hell!!!!!!
wtf is wrong??? my comp's new!!!!
Is there that big a difference between a Celeron and a Pentium4 ???? |
