Im majorly ed right now for lack of sleep, but it was well worth it. Johan played a bangin set and even was nice enough to slip me some vinyls during his set. For those that missed him, he will be playing at Roxy sometime in the near future, I will let you all know when. Anyways, its my grandmother's 88th b-day party today so I dont have time to post a full review, I will be much more cohesive tomorrow so thats all for now.

OMG!!!! I can't believe that street lady got into our picture!!! What a riot!!!!
I had a blast last nite! Loved Johan's set- nice track selection, new some new rockin' tunes, great mixing. It was good meeting more DC/NY TA's. |

I thought Johan was very good. Not the best set ever, but still a memoriable tracklist. The first 30 minutes was unbelievable. Lots of new I never heard. After Universal Nation 2002 the set went to just average. He threw in a couple of classics and that encore song just made me sick.
Glow had a really nice vibe. The whole place blew up when Johan came on. I still love their sound system because it's so loud. It just sucks when the speakers keep blowing out.
Me and John got really lost driving home. Ended up accidently turning down one of those police u-turn ramps off the NJTpk and then ended up in the heart of Jersey City trying to find our way back. :nervous: Must have collected about 5 of those toll tickets before finding our way home.
It was nice to see some familar faces down in Washington. It was also great to meet alot of new TAs. I will add these pictures to my Cracked Out At Diner photo collection. :eyespop: It's been a very long day. Drive to Washington, Go to Johan, Take some , rest at diner, drive home from Washington, go to work for 8 hours, and 3am Monday morning I'm still up. :crazy:

It was nice to meet some more Trance Addicts. Thanks for introducing me to the group, Amit! For those of you that don't remember, I'm the white latino that lost his keys at the club. :mad:
Me and my friend had an awesome time. I was a bit worried cause she told me the day before that she didn't like "techno," so already I was like "oh sh... I'm not gonna be able to listen to all of Johan" As a result, me and her had to go back and forth to the hip-hop room so she could take her break from the "techno," but I think I managed to catch the best parts of Johan's set nonetheless. (Why can't I ever find a chick that likes the same music I do?)
I'd have to agree with everyone else. This set was not as good as his previous performance at Glow. I still like his style though. I'm big into Trance with vocals and catcy melodies, so the fact that he plays songs that actually have words amazes me. You don't find that in many DJ sets nowadays.
I don't care what all the other Trance people say to this... I like to sing Trance in the shower! You can ask my neighbors :toothless
