me 2 :)

not, but seriously i don't think either prog is better then the other really... they are so different.
i have tryied booth progs... not reason so much so i haven't learned it, but i think i learned fruity better if you compare the time i have spend in the beginning with booth proggs.

many reason users say that fruity suck at sounds quality and it's right, if you use the original sounds.. they suck BBIIIGG.

but just listen to any of parkers track and you see that fruity isn't that bad at quality if you know how to use it... and if you don't use the original sounds :)

but i would say that fruity is a great prog to start with.... i can't really say so much since i haven't used reason much and i haven't really learned anything out of it yet with the time i have spent on it

i like fruity myself, but reason is also a quality program. Use whatever you prefer :P

heh,

there is not a doubt in my mind that reason is a much better program. If you know how to use fruity... and i mean REALLY use it, like robstar then you can get good results. But you will need a TON of plugins and samples.

Reason is 1.7 GB in file size, wehere as fruity is 10MB.... that tells me something straight away.

The sequencer in reason is far more complicated and you have FAR more control over synths and effects. Control lanes enable you to toally change the synth, as the track is playing, you can totally change the evelopes of the synth as its played. YOu can also sequence effects, such as an EQ, as the synth plays, the the mid range can get louder, or the bas can get lower, or whatever. Same of other effects such as phaser reverb... you can change them as they play.

I think reason is also designed better , in teh sense that it doesnt you up all your CPU power. When i used fruity it was nealry always freezing up due to having all the CPU power being used. I hardly EVER get this with reason.

IMO, no matter what ANYONE says about reason i think its a FAR more powerfull program than fruity. But at the end of the day, its down to the producer.

LOL - I get the "computer too slow" message all the time but it's hardly Reason's fault ;)
