About the movie, the first one was terrible, nice cinematography thuogh but a worse story.
Dunno about the soundtrack but in a trailer I heard Paul Oakenfold - zoo york playing on the background, lame to use a soundtrack that is already used in Requiem for a dream which is an awsome movie!
Anyway if zoo york is the track u were searching for I'm glad I elped u. |

Both movies were excellant (as were the soundtracks)...
The 2nd one has an amazing battle scene at Helm's Deep. That's all I'm going to say about that...go see it... :)
Music Composed, Orchestrated and Conducted by Howard Shore
Howard actually won an Oscar for Best Musical Score for the soundtrack of the 1st movie 'Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring'.
Here's a little blurb on him:
| quote: |
Canadian [woohoo :)]Howard Shore has worked with director David Cronenberg and is closely associated with many landmark films with a strong suspense or horror element such as "The Fly", "Scanners", "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Seven". Continuing his relationship with the weird, Tim Burton went to Shore to produce the soundtrack for "Ed Wood" when he temporarily fell out with Danny Elfman.
But among all the many genre films he has scored, there are some nice examples where he has demonstrated a versatility previously only hinted at. He has done light-hearted family movies such as "Mrs. Doubtfire" and more recently "Cats and Dogs". The soundtrack to "Philadelphia" is extremely memorable and the album highly successful including songs by Bruce Springstein, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel and an operatic track sung by Maria Callas. It is easy to forget Shore's contribution to this gem, with its sadness, comfort and quiet dignity, earning him the final track on the soundtrack album.
Shore is now engaged to score all three films in the Lords of the Rings film trilogy, and these long-awaited movies are certain to raise Shore's profile in Hollywood. The first in the trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring has celtic music for the Hobbit's with song contributions from Enya, and much powerful, mystical choral cues.

| There was a trance remix of the song "May It Be", composed and performed by Enya for the first film. However it wasn't very good IMO and didn't do the soundtrack justice. If you're interested in it anyway just run a search for "lord of the rings" on DC or whatever and you'll find it. I agree that some of the music is very powerful and would probably be well suited to trance, but as of now my suggestion to you would just be to buy the soundtrack. |

How about: Dominator- The Lord of the Rings
I don't really think it's a remix of any of the songs, but it has the title of the movie and it's pretty good hard trance. I think it's about as close as you're going to get to a good remix to a LotR song. |

Heh, Alien Project - The Ring samples the movie also, but only a few lines. More along the lines of psytrance though. |
