Hello there!
Well, I'm trying to develop some new sounds and currently I have three projects: some epic drum'n'bass (like John B's "Electrofreek - Epic Killah mix"), some acid garage (which obviously borrows element from acid techno, classic garage and jungle) and finally, some ordinary trance (which is a remix of a tune produced by a girl from Sao Paulo :D). I'd like your feedback on my trance and my acid garage (I'll post the epic drum'n'bass later):
Acid Garage (351 kb)
Trance (351 kb)
Ideas, suggestions,...? If you don't like any of these tunes, feel free to tell me :) If you like 'em, tell me as well :D
Merry X-mas  |

| Both tracks sound very good, but I don't see where the "garage" part somes in in the first track. I thought garage had a completely different beat :conf: |

From garage I borrowed a more soulful feeling, a deeper bassline and other melody stuff that is not in this recorded sample, even though the bassline sounds a lot more like speed garage.
Anyway, the garage beat you're propably talking about is the modern 2-step garage (aka UK garage). I thought that 2-step beat wouldn't sound very nice with elements from acid techno, so I used the 4/4 beat, just like classic garage and speed garage.
Thanks for the feedback Haak :) |
