For playing trance music (only) ..
2.1 (2 speakers and 1 sub) cos I want to keep my comp setup small and compact and dont want to have 5 or 6 sats around that I havent got shelf space or brackets to place ..
Max budget is £150 ($240 / 230Euro) and I'm looking for some quality speakers .. I dont want another pair for £30 or something .. I use my headphones usually so these speakers will step in when the house is empty and I can blast out some nice music :D
Atm the only 2 I have thought about are the:
Videologic Sirocco
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1
Anywayz thought the trance community might have some tips/advice for me .. hope I got the forum right but didnt seem right putting it in music discussion ..
Thx in advance :toocool:

Videologic Sirocco, or the Diva Swan M200.
Lots of info here:
www.3dss.com
Direct any questions to the forum, they are very helpful there. |

| I had Altec Lansing 2.1. Does the job just fine and not too expensive. |

| Haven't heard anything about the 621s before but a quick look online and they seem to be getting positive reviews. At this point I would recommend going to the 3dss.com forums and asking there. |

Ditch the computer speakers and get a decent amp/sound system and pipe the computer Mp3's through it.
'tis what I do. Much better IMO. :) |

If you're looking for a good bang for your buck, check out Klipsch. Here's the link: http://www.klipsch.com/
I have a set of these and I love them. I know they're out of your price range, but I also know that they make computer speakers and smaller bookshelf speakers that will suit you. It's worth the time to check em out. Good luck. |

Hmmmmmmm
Well bein a former audio/stereophile myself, I'd say that for the money that you set forth as your budget, your not gonna get anything that is gonna be exceptional. However having said that, I don't know if your "ear" is developed enough to make a difference in the first place. The set up that I run for my mp3's is similar to what others have mentioned thusfar, stereo/amp and speakers that i connect my comp to. Much better IMO, but you already mentioned that you wouldnt do that. Sooooooooooo considering the what you have mentioned and whats been mentioned my advice would be to go for the klipsch setup, my roommate has it and it does fine for trance. Also I noticed in the other thread thats in music discussion someone mentioned bose, I advise against them, they are too geared towards ppl who know nothing about speakers, thus they will not be the quality that you are looking for. Good Luck, and let us know what you decide:D |
