Clubs in NYC - Help Needed ;)

Hey,
i'm a TA from France, and i need your help.
One of my friend lives in NYC for the next 8 months, and she would like to spend a few good trancy nights.
So here are my questions: what are the greatest trance clubs in NYC, clubs who host some famous djs ? i heard about Roxy, is that good ?
also she'll be 18 only in March; do you guys know the limit ages of the different clubs ?
and do you know where i could get info on what happens in the NYC trance scene - e.g. when Dj XX is coming etc ... (except here ;)

the boys are right - this is the main source of trance in NYC. NY is more of a house music city. and even though it isn't trance, i highly recommend going to arc on saturdays. roxy often gets trance djs but you need to check the lineups because it is very often bad house music.
do not let her go to exit. it is a waste of time and money.
arc is 18+ , roxy is also 18+, though i have seen younger kidz in there. you won't find many places that allow younger than 18 except on special nights and most places are 21+ but they don't really have trance anyway. |
