cygnus x - the orange theme
kosmonova - ayla
nature one - waterworld
solar eclipse - silence
earl of locsley - nature
all of these tunes came to me at about the same time, so their importance is more or less equal...maybe earl of locsley was the one that got me in. great track imho, still one of my top 5. |

Doctor: Mr. Simpson you have a crayon wedged in your brain
Homer: I have a crayon in my brain? (Pointing to his chest)
Doctor: There is an operation we could do to remove the crayon. It will either give you more brain power, or kill you.
Homer: More killing power eh...

At the time I didn't know it would (at least by some of us) be the predecessor of trance, but I think the album The White Room from the KLF was the first time I really understanded the power of music like trance.
Later, along the way came tracks like Faithless - Insomnia, Open your mind - Usura, and I loved them all, still not knowing it was something called trance ....
Then I went out one Saturday-night, to a club called Dieka, with this great dance-hall with beautiful lasers and a great sound-system. That night I got caught by a beautiful female voice: "Encore une fois" by Sash! (boy, he sucked with his later tracks!).
By that time I discovered mp3, started downloading and my favourite tracks were Veracocha, Gouryella, Vimana etc. How funny when I found out all of my fav tracks were mostly made by two man: Tiesto and Corsten ..... and their style was called TRANCE.
After my first download of a livesite by Tiesto (Club Eau 2nd Anniversary) I was completely sold.....
