OK so we all know exit sucks; if you have been there in the past two years you can swap horror stories with any other clubber who has set foot in there.
So now they have this new Evolution party. The promoter that brought Sexy at the Roxy has taken over this party and he is probably one of the few promoters that can make an attempt to turn this place around.If you have read reviews from last weeks party some good thigns were said.
Bob Goodrich has given Me and one of my sidekicks DJ Mike Bugout a side room and a small budget. We are gonna call it the Midnight room. We want to have some fun with this room and give it a different flavor then what you get on the main floor.
My first though was to come here. I was thinking we could do a tranceaddict night in there. I know a lot of you spin, and I think it would be nice to have a Tranceaddict night with a couple Tranceaddict DJ's and board members. Me and Bugout are both strong advocates of trance music;i think it would be a good night if we could get a couple of you guys in there. This could be a nice change from the commercial,progressive, and tribal sounds they are gonna be pushing on the main floor.
Our budget is small so we could only gurantee a base pay, and a little bonus if we make any money from the guestlist. I personally don't care about the guestlist money because I make enough money working my jobs. I work hard, and on my free time I want to have a good time. I'd like to make this work.
What do you guys think? |

it would work very well and most of us probably will step back into exit if one of the TAs were spinning there...

I don't post here much but I lurk quite often. Tranceaddict kids know their stuff when it comes to music.I have met a few of you in person and I think You are a good group of people. I think we can have some fun here. |

It begins this friday. The Midnight Room opens at midnight (duh :D) and runs till the afterhours (6,7,8?)..This week I'm joined by my friend Drag who will spin 12-230ish and then I'll be rockin out till close. In the comin weeks I'd really like to get some of you guys in there and hear some trance bangers.
It sucks that we gotta wait till AVB comes to NY to hear Rococco on a big system :( I spin a lot of different stuff, but my focus in this room is gonna be trance. Solid trance.
This room is gonna require that you get a stamp on your hand to get in--You can get the stamp by using the Midnight Guestlist at the door...if for some reason you forget to use the list or dont get the stamp, the first few weeks we wont be dicks, just tell the door guy your from TA and we'll gladly stamp you and let you in...
TA DJ's---> drop me an email and we'll arrange gettin you guys in there...The first TA night i'd like to do would be possibly in the next few weeks so email me asap..
and hopefully we'll meet some of you guys friday night...

IM definatley down, shaking for some good trance ever since i left Space and Edgar V from Miami, I can throw down a set or 2 and no need to pay me , I enjoy doing it just need to get the kinks out of my mixing and need some new vinyl its been a while, Ill ask Tek if I can practice with him.
Bugout i was on metromix with you, told qwest to get rid of m ebeacuse i have no damn place to spin in NY to practice. |

| wow, this really does sound like a cool idea. especially since we do have to wait till big name djs like pvd, tiesto, ferry, etc. come to town in order to hear the music we love in a club. and that room is definitely a great room to get this started in. i can't spin at all, but i would surely show up if one of you guys were. |
