Why do assholes exist on the road?

Me and my buddy were driving around very late .
Anyway, we're stopped at a redlight at an intersection. A kid driving stopped behind us with his girlfriend is in a blue Tercel, just HITS the rear end of my buddy's Focus. (the kid apparently saw my buddy moving slightly forward & thought the light turned green) We drive both cars to the nearby gas station to be safe, and this stupid kid tries to "assess" that the damage only needs ing touch-up paint- both the kid and his girlfriend are offering to pay $10-20 for this paint. He said bull like "why are you gonna stress me over something that needs a little touch up paint??" . The rear bumper on the Focus clearly had 2 deep scratches from the Tercel's license plate, and the paint all over it was scratched like MAD, and the exhaust tail pipe was ing LOOSE (none of these damages were there before the accident).
We soon find out this kid has no insurance, and best of all - no drivers license or photo ID! Right there we could've called the police, had him arrested & his car impounded - but didnt. Everything he said basically translated into "look, im a ing idiot who stole my mom's car for a joyride and i'm too ing scared to take responsibility". This kid seriously tried to leave the scene without even giving us his identification/phone#. (we eventually got the info, btw)
I couldnt believe this. Why are there ing dolts like this, stealing thier mommy's car & having obviously for brains while driving? no insurance, no license, accident was 100% his fault.. he had no grounds. Yet he didnt want us to "stress him over touchup paint".
Now its 5:30 am. i'm done this rant & am going to sleep. thank you TAs for your time. |

goodnet i think this is all lies. what i think really happened is you and your mate were driving a clapped out banger nearly finished its life span, some innocent kid touched it and youre blaming 20 years of wear and tear on this kid, trying to get him to buy you a new car, thats just wrong.

Funny story on the whole license plate thing.
Last year i was hit and run by some guy while at a stoplight and i was stopped. He didn't brake and just ran into me. He then ran away from the scene. When i went to look at the damage i saw the imprint of the license plate on the bumper of my car. Called the policeman and got him to go after the guy.
Dont know if there were any criminal charges against him though.
I just cared that his insurance paid for it. |
