i recently purchased 'lolo - melody & sunset' on vinyl and i got home slapped it on and relised that it was wavey as , i mean ing waves like 1cm (10mm) from the slipmatt, to the top of the wave, it sounds ok, n all but is this a bad thing, i no most vinyl'z hav a slight wave in it noting massive, but this seriously is massive, i havn't ever seen such a wave, is it worth taking back 2 HMV and set me £5 back on it, and get summut else or a better copy or shall i keep it, it sounds allright aswell:D :D

thx for any info

that. take it back. If u try and mix with it, u will find it so hard. Ur needle wont hav a clue whats going on. Slightly warped vinyls are okish, but 1cm just takes the piss.

Always check your records from HMV as theres a few that i have bought that have been warped.I would take it back and get another copy:D

My copy of Planet Perfecto - Bullet in the Gun 2000 is seriously warped, if its played at 45 then the needle skips (bouncing up and down) to , good job its a 33 then i suppose. Its a real bugger to mix into because of this.

I can't be bothered to send it back to Juno, but if it was just taking it back to HMV then i would.

I also have another record that's been pressed incorrectly (like it sounds jumpy for the last 1/2 of one of the tracks, even though there is no surface damage), only its not the side i like, so i can be bothered to send it back to dotvinyl, even though they offered to pay postage i believe.

People say stuff about people bending the vinyls back straight, but that sounds like it might just snap it.

The problem with internet vinyl shopping i guess.
