I just moved to Amsterdam to study at the UvA and I don't know any Dutch yet so I'm kinda lost in this board.
Where should I go to get my weekly dosage of trance? Now & Wow?
Do Dutch TAs usually hang out somewhere?
I think I'll probably go to Trance Energy even if I don't love the lineup, just to experience a big event for once. I heard Armin is also spinning Feb. 1 at Club Eau, so I'll probably go to that party too.
Any help with anything would be appreciated. I'm not a tourist, that's why I didn't use the "foreigner" sticky. Thanks,

Since you live in Amsterdam you can check out Club XL every weekend, XL has a great line up. Now & Wow is in Rotterdam (about 45 minutes drive from Amsterdam) and is mostly house and club music. Club Eau is in The Hague (Den Haag/s'Gravenhage) near Kijkduin.
We have a thread about places to go in Holland, check it out for addresses and websites :)
Hope you like Holland, and don't mind 365 days of rain and big temperature shifts.. one day it is 8 deg. next day it is -3... geezz what a country this is :D |

The only place worth going to are Q-Base in Zaandam, XL in Amsterdam-West and The Powerzone.
Clubbing in Amsterdam sucks!
Save yourself some trouble, invest your money on the several trance parties like Sensation, Mysterland, Dance Valley, Qlimax, Contact etc etc
If you wanna party in The Hague (The Eau) just PM me and we'll go there some time :) |

Thanks guys, I'm already in love with this country. It's so beautiful and the people are awesome. And even though I'm from the Caribbean, this weather is not that horrible :stongue:
I live in Prins Hendrikkade, and it's great because there are many interesting places close by. Seems like everything here is within walking distance.
One question, do I need to purchase tickets in advance for Trance Energy? Will it really suck this year? Peace,

yup you have to buy in advance, just go to the free record shop (every city has one, they'll sell tickets)
if it's gonna suck, well the line-up ain't great but i think you'll always have a good time.. or you could always come to nexus, see sticky.. (but it's in dutch) |

Not really, I think I'm further down, but I know what you're talking about. I'm in the corner of Prins H. and Valkenburgerstr Foeliestr. I walk down that street and run into the Waterlooplein.
Any coffeeshop reccomendations?? :thepirate |
