i didnt wake up in the right side of the bed this morning, and combine that with the fact that THIS IS EXIT, you guys should stay tuned on this thread...better you get a dose of reality and experience than promises from inexperienced promoters as young as us...

can someone please tell me what's wrong with exit ? :nervous:

ok ill do it..

Exit is a carnival...it's the biggest club in the city which therefore means it is as commercial as commercial gets...it has about 6 rooms including one huge mainfloor where the worst DJ in NYC mans the main floor...

now since Exit is so large, its only worry is turning profits...this means the almighty dollar is prioritized over vibe and fun...their promotions consist of hiring anyone off the street to promote to their friends and their friends and their friends, etc...combine that with the inpersonalness through its sheer size (which leads to inpersonalness of management) and you have disaster: years and years of endless stories like " exit. they ed me and my boy over on payments," "too many sweaty guidos," "too many asians," "too many underage kiddies," "the bouncers are dictorial," etc. etc. etc.

you will NOT be seeing the ARC crowd at Exit, i guarantee you that...

i could go on...i really can...but i need sleep...just be prepared when you go...

right but you have to support your friends when it counts. i know we tried to do that for john stephen back in june but i have faith that bobg can tuirn things around. that doesn't mean that i will start going to exit but i can stand to set foot in there for my friends.

exactly, Im not gonna sit here and deny anything Jaime said--

But there is a 'personal' touch when it comes to OUR room. I've met the manager of exit and the head of security and working with Bob G we have spoken to them and they are allowing us to make this work.

Im excited to have my own room there b/c of all the problems exit has. They are tryin to solve them, but while they do, we'll be in OUR room. With OUR DJ's playing dope music, with OUR doorman keeping out anyone who will ruin the vibe.

Im of the school of thinking that music is a big part of the nightclub experience, but its also who you party with and the fun times you have with those friends.

Exit's opportunities to screw us over here are slim. Their only involvement is the door (dress code) and the security checkpoint (where you get checked)...once you are inside you come to our room and thats it...No worries about them.

As a whole they are getting better--but until they fix the whole club, we will keep this room on lockdown...In Fact, we will pimp this room so hard and so strong that management will have no choice but to say--can u bring that nrg and vibe to the main floor? :D

Remember to use the Traneaddict guestlist at the door and you will get a stamp or a mark to show our doorman and we'll be partyin it up on the 17th!!

not to put a damper on the whole event but from experience (plenty of) with exit i have witness however candy coated it may seem prior to the event, it will never be as sweet as they say it would. granted i havent been to exit for a long long time maybe things have changed but i doubt the hand stamp thing will fly with them. i mean the club is so huge for them to restrict people into going into certain areas unless you have the white room with its own actually "DOOR" the midnight room/room next to coat check if i remember correctly was just an open hallway into the actual room. im hoping for the best but by all means dont throw all your efforts and hopes into making this a regular thing at this club. dj tek and myself are working on a party at a smaller venue but more intimate...possibilities include downtime, psuedos, open air..but we havent came to any solid conclusions. just an FYI so you dont get trapped by exit like i did and most people have.

EXACTLY.

a party in a small venue would be something i'd definitely support...no Exit hassle and no Exit crowd...it can be whatever we want with our own vibe and our own fun...

But hey, Exit does have its strong points as well...so in all fairness much respect goes out to those 2 cats trying to make an impression in a place where it has been lacking...
dj mike bugout
thanks...

and FYI...the room has doors to it...big ones like the white room does...and its not the club runnin this its us. The girl doin the list and stampin is a friend of ours. The door man is my friend. Granted I expect some things to go haywire as they would at any vemue---but unlike past promoters or dj's, we've got the golden key and his name is Bobby Goodrich. He's behind us 100% and will make sure this goes well.

Word.

Like we said before, if anyone but Bob Goodrich offered this to us, we would have passed it up. Bob gets things done and on top of that he looks out for us.

Here is the flyer i whipped up:
