well...i know a lot of people are not going to like this site suggestion but...
the thing that has been bothering me for a while now has been the size of many of the signatures. i think that there should be some kind of limit to the size of your signature. a lot of the time signatures are twice the size of the post. this makes for a lot more scrolling and makes threads many more pages than they have to be. maybe i'm just being picky and lazy but...that's what i think. |

| i do agree with you on one part..um. i got a sig, and its kinda big, is mine bad? na i love ma sig. but ones that do bother me are the ones with the animation bit goin on. i have one in mind that really gets to me and slows my puter down trememdesly to the point that sometimes i just exit that thread...dunno. i dont think your bein pick at all, because its your opinion but i think if theres a limit it should be based on height instead of width, well yeah width too but er...like mine:) |

| yes sugar, i do think that there should be a hight limit. signatures like yours are fine...the width of a sig does not make the thread much longer than it would normally be...it's the height. a lot of the time you get a post that takes up maybe 2 or 3 cm of the screen height...and the signature takes up more than 5 or 6 cm... |

well...i think i found a partial solution to this problem. i was editing my personal profile when i found an option that allows you to show or not show member signatures in posts.
the only problem with this is that i like most of the signatures and i do not want to disable them all when i am viewing threads...i only want to get rid of the really big ones that take up a huge amount of space. |

yeah this is a good idea. not that it slows down my computer or anything, but the majority of the TAs out there would be quite happier surfin' around in the forums with sigs that are like the size of Jd's and sugah's. pleasing to look at, but small and compact. maybe even a size limit too? like can't be over 100k. much like the restriction on avatars work i guess. :)
the maker of sigs has spoken! *lightning bolt sound* rofl. heheh, just kidding. i just had the urge to do that. :p |

NOOoooo ! I don't have one myself, but i like most of the signatures. It really makes the forum look better.
Without signatures, i think the forum would be pretty boring... |

you are right about the scrolling part, but that you get more pages because of the sigs is not true.
1 page = 15 replies, and that is always.
But I do think that you have a point, sigs that are to large are irritating (hope that mine isn't to high) |

I have a cable connection, so the sigs are downloaded very fast...But with a 56k or somthing I understand the speed is bad...
But what is said before, there's an option to hide the sigs...So,i think tis is not a real problem |

| there is one persons sig that annoys the hell out of me...its a huge picture...i seen it in the music discussion the other day...that is real real annoying...its bigger than the whole screen....fkn rediculus |
