Nice choices dude.
well everything that Lemon 8 made or remixed this years is pure quality..check filterheadz too |
Thanks, Rising. Couldn't agree with you more about Lemon 8 and Filterheadz. Could've (and should've) easily thrown in there another one of my favorites: Filterheadz - The One Who Got Caught. Or even Bedrock - Emerald (Filterheadz Remix). Both are incredible, and are both on a mix CD of mine. |

Why does everyone keep saying that Solar Stone are progressive? Just because they're producing trance music without any discernable melody, it does not make them progressive. ;)
Good tunes since I last posted:
Chris Coco - Albatross (Christian J / Hybrid Mixes)
Descent - Fusion / Gravity Drop
Holmes Ives - Eros (both mixes are class)
Moloko - Familiar Feelings (Timo Maas Mixes) (may be a tad cheesy for some, but it's glad to see he's returned to the stuff he was producing in 99/00)
King Britt - Supernatural (Soul Providers Tech Mix)
Milo - Jungle of Mirror (Scumfrog Mix)
Circulation - Silver (Mix One) (liking the lyrics!)
Dirty Vegas - Days Go By (Scumfrog Mix) (not too keen on the original, but this is some good 5am prog-fodder)
Second Hand Satellites - Orbit 1.5
Robbie Rivera - Sex (Filterheadz / Antoine Clamaran Remixes) (on more of a housey tip, but pumping nonetheless)
Shakedown - At Night (Subtech Remix) (you've all probably heard the slightly commercial original, but this remix takes it deep and techy)
Roman S - Pleasure Me
Coda - Under Control (Chris Cargo Remix) (deep, techy house music - reminds me a great deal of Mara)
Mona Lisa Overdrive - Born to Synthesise (Pole Folder Remix)
Blue States - Seasons Song (Rui Da Silva Remix)
East West Connection - Once I've Been There (Lexicon Avenue Hard Dub)
Same time next week? :D |

Ta. :)
For some reason I've noticed that a lot of the better prog tracks recently have had a really strong house influence - could that be the direction the genre's starting to take after 2-3 years of dark dubbiness? |
