Paul's earnings are about $15000-50000, but it also depends on the action rating - Mayday 2001 brought him about 65000

well, i read a lot of philly msgboards about the clubscene awhile back... had some interesting stuff... mainly why we cant get anyone as big as pvd or tiesto anymore...

basically because state law requires clubs to close at 2am... therefore the clubs cant stay open late enough to make enough money... and therefore they cant afford to get a hugely famous dj... plus they usually dont start spinning until like 3am!

from what i heard, they had oakie at the one club here (not a big one either), and it cost them $30,000 for one night

dunno how true that is... but i worked it out and thats like $1.5mil/year before taxes

damnit :P

I thought sasha and pvd get way more than that;let me calc:
ok, this is a rough calc, if they are on under 30grand they are still in the lower tax bracket, treasury taking about 20% and lets say nat ins another 5% maybe 25% in all:
£25,000
-£ 6,250 tax leaving £18,750 and thats if they are in the lower bracket, being a dj government may say u r a star so pay star taxes %30 £7500 to the state leaving £17,500, the guy is on nearly less than me, it just cannot be right. Is PVD not german, does he reside in germany??? is paying german taxes more than 50% and i thought wages are a lot higher so he must be on more than 25 grand. I don't think thats right or they must be getting lots and lots and lots of percs paid expenses, paid studio time, paid records and so forth. If not, am i glad im in the computer line.would not argue with oakeys wage thou, its about 180,000 pound sterling, right??

ps:i suppose this will make me appreciate their sounds even more now i know they work haaaaaard for every pound.

That's a f'ed up law, thank god I don't live in PA. I live in losAngeles, Ca where we have a "no alcohol after 2:00am" law but the clubs can stay open as long as they want. It may also depend where the club is...in regards to zoning laws etc. A month ago I partied until 11:00am the next day, don't think I will do that again...talk about being wiped.

you misunderstood... those rates were per BOOKING... not annual

Suzaku
I can't speak for the other DJ's in the group but I don't think Tiesto always charges $13,000.

Just a few months ago I saw him spin in San Francisco. I was charged 5 dollars for admission, that's right FIVE whole US dollars. Now for the club to break even just for Tiesto they'd have to pack in 2600 people into one relatively small room, not to mention pay for the other DJ's/security etc.
breakdown
lol yea.. its each time they play!
lol.. imagine if they play 2 nites a week..
2 nites a week.. times 52 weeks. = 104 nites..
104 nites @ 25000 pounds each..
2.6 million
now compare that with what u earn.. or what u think u will earn lol
