Mauro Picotto's The Others

Was wandering around HMV the other day in Sydney, they were playing an awesome pumping track so over I wander to the counter to ask what they're playing...

Turns out it was Mauro Picotto's "The Others" - kick arse, hard thumping trance, with great bass lines... loved it.

This is really the first I've heard of Mauro Picotto - any other good livesets I should look out for by him... he doesn't seem to have a lot of CDs released at the moment.

Thanks,
Craig

awsome album indeed!:eyespop:
wouldnt say its hard trance at all.. only pulsar and back 2 cali are the trancey ones, rest is all dirty picotto style techno!

picotto plays a brand of music that somtimes borders on hardhouse to banging tek.

his innercity(2001) set is a nice set but i think he's fallen off the ball latley. His mixing isnt great and he plays some shocker of tracks , his productions have been well unoriginal latley. Late last year he was turning into a semi decent tech dj but now he seems to have turned it down a noch.

Might check out the Innercity set... thanks guys :)

yeah, i bought this cd when it came out last march, im really a fan of Picotto and have seen him twice in Miami, but this album is really hard hard banging techno,.. very different than what he was putting out mid 2001 and towards the end of of that year,... his album called "Double Album" (i think thats what its called) has a lot of his older stuff that is really good trancy stuff, i think the song "Proximus" might be one of my all time favorite songs, i do recommend checking it out

Yep, The Others is much more bangin than his previous album "Double Album", of which funnily exists 1CD, 2CD and 3CD versions.. and also several different versions of the 2CD version. How complicated is this?

There is also a LP version of The Others, but it is not really useful for those people that have already most of his records :D
