VTT is driving me nuts !!!!!
The old chestnut of using the speakers and headphones from one soundcard.
I have bought the splitter and plugged it into the back of my soundblaster 128 pci card. I then plug my headphones and speakers in. I then set the two decks going with different songs, the volume is low until I click the channel in the headphones box, it then becomes loud. If I play channel 0 and have the Xfader full on that side and then try to listen to channel 1 in the headphones box it comes through the other speaker. Sooooo if I try to use the headphone channels I get both songs from the speakers and the headphones.I have tried swapping the plug ins about for the speakers and headphones but get the same results.

How sould it be set up in the advanced settings so I can use both the headphones and speakers, I tried the audio wizard but that wasn't much use.

please help me , its getting very frustrating , I just want to mix.

Cheers

you need to setup your soundcard for 2xmono in the audio setup part

It sounds like you might have bought the wrong thing! You need a channel splitter, not a stereo splitter. A stereo splitter splits the stereo input into two identical stereo outputs. The channel splitter should split the channels of the input, and send the left channel of the input to both channels of one of the outputs and the right channel to both channels of the other output.

The other suggestion is that you may have 3D stereo enhancement switched on for your soundcard. you need to switch this off for the splitter to work. To do this, open the volume control, click on advanced controls, and uncheck 3D stereo enhancement.
