European TA's! Tell me where to go! Making trip in May!

Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to Europe from around mid-May to the end of May. I've only been to London so I don't know about Europe.

We'll probably be flying into London and stay there for a few days. Then we'll probably go to Amsterdam, then Paris, then maybe Barcelona.

Are these good cities to see? Does anyone have any good tips on where to go in these cities? We were thinking about Prague too but is it far?

Where can we party? Know any good clubs or bars? Does anyone know if any major DJ's are going to be in any of these cities around that time?

More importantly, does anyone know any good hotels? I'd prefer to not stay in a hostel. I'd like to shack up with my girl at night without someone else in the top bunk, knowwhatimean? And I'd like to have my own bathroom.

Also, I don't speak a lick of French or Dutch. Some Spanish. But I hear English is still used somewhat in the cities.

Is May a good time to go? What's the weather like?

For a trip to about 3 or 4 cities is Eurorail the way to go? Or can I just get cheap flights?

Any help is appreciated!

humm I'll update later with more specific suggestions concerning each city
but first off Prague is a bit or more like, it depends on your budget really.
How long you plan on staying?

Now concerning london and amsterdam I suggest you see directly with the forums of these countries

About paris, well there isn't really a trance scene but if you appreciate house and techno you'll be fully served with clubs such as La Locomotive, Rex, QUeen ( with a note that the clubbing scene in paris is of gay tendency and top notch dress code )

France has an advantage over the United States on the hotel side.
You can off course decide to stay in the same types of places you'd be using back home and pay same price but France is home to a new type of hotels : "electronic" hotels ..... meaning you deal with literaly no one at the front desk , you get a magnetic card for your room, and it's all pretty much automatically run ( sounds weird dont' it :tongue2 )
To name a few of these you have Formule 1, premiere classe .... which will cost you about 30 to 40 dollars a night, now keep in mind I haven't lived in France for over a year and it's in paris so I'm even less sure of the exact cost of these ..... but if you don't mind losing a little bit on the comfort side and getting something cheap that's the way to go and BTW these are pretty clean hotels ( major plus )

Weather in may can be decent it's getting a little warmer by then really

There is starting to be cheap alternative using the plane to travel and we'll get you the links , but the eurorail ( if I'm right that's the unlimited train ticket system right ? ) ( Urail ? ) is also good fast but not especially cheap.

oh and lastly what do you want to visit? need any tips in particular on that side?

talk to you later :)
