Is south western Illnois foreign to trance music or is it just hidden to those who are new? Is there any one that lives O'fallon- Bellville area that knows where to party? Is there life in St. louis for those who love trance, especially for the age group of 18-20? Scott AFB ring a bell to any one?

well I dated a girl down there. She went to a school called McKendry (think that is how it is spelled) and i scoured that place or anything remotely close to trance. That was a year ago.... there was nothing.......

STL is not a trancy place. not to be mean to TA's in STL but that place is kinda ghetto ESTL at least. If you can travel to chicago anytime, look at events sponsored by anotherlevel.com . they are 18+ otherwise i dunno. Southern Il was too hip hoped out for me.

i have an anotherlevel store near me, anyone know what they sell?

Everything but hip hop. Walk in the store, immediatly to the right is radio dance farther down is progressive, techno, Nu-nrg, trance (alot of) and in the middle is deals and it is your usual record store. Get there. Dennis appreciates the business.

which one? the one in schaumberg, or the one on harlem ave.?

ne way, i visit another level on harlem about once a month. usually saturdays or sundays around 5 pm (when i have the time to go)

if you're ever there and see a kid who looks (looks can be decieving) around 15 years old, and has either spiked hair, or a beanie on....its me! dont be afraid to say hi. i dont bite.

also, they have started to carry hip hop. only the main chart-toppers, tho. its still like 99% dance music. (i didnt even see any hip-hop records sittin out. i think you can only get em by special order or sumthin)

yeah i know what your talking about. i'm from st. louis originally

it sucks when it comes to trance (or the whole electronica scene in general) the only place to go for any good music is velvet.
lo is good tho, and the oz sometimes brings in some good DJs.
and there is the occasional good rave here or there.
you can check up on the scene there at www.stlouisraver.com

altho the forums there are full of drama and stupidness (very characteristic of stl :) ).

Scott rings a bell to me :D.....was one of the 4 final possible places for my dad to be transferred to before he retired.

As to the presence of electronic music in the St Louis area, I would guess there is very little. The area tends to be either ghetto (as stated before) or country.

I went to the one in Schaumberg yesterday....was pretty nice little place but since I don't own a turntable there was nothing there for me to buy :( It is for all intents and purposes a vinyl store.

If any of you have an ?'s regarding Another Level, please send me a PM or an email. I used to work in both stores but I am still affiliated with them and represent them whenever I play. They sell Vinyl, CDs, Clothes and accessories. If you don't see, they can get it.

:)
