Splinter Cell for ps2!

"Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, the acclaimed stealth action game from Red Storm Entertainment, will be released for PlayStation 2 in the spring of this year, publisher Ubi Soft announced today. This confirms long-established expectations that the game, originally exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox console, would arrive on other platforms.
"With its all-around stupendous reviews and now its record sales, Splinter Cell is blazing a trail the likes of which the industry has rarely seen. We are eager to take the run-away success of this game to an even wider audience," said Yves Guillemot, President and CEO of Ubi Soft.
Look forward to further updates as Ubi Soft releases more information on the PS2 version. "

| The game is amazing. I played it for X-Box and it kicked major ass. Too bad you can't pick up a guys weapon after you kill him though :(. I can't wait for it to come out on PC considering all I have is PC and PSX. That and Vice City for PC :D |

| Is this game similar to Rogue Spear or Ghost recon? I've been a long time fan of clancy games on computers, i'll have to try this one out. Also, can it be played online? |

Well it's not team based like most Tom Clancy games. You play a government operative (NSA I believe) but it's not just kill everything in site normal shooter kinda thing. It's highly strategy based (lure enemies, evesdrop, etc.) and a wicked game IMO. For more info check out ign.com. |

| LMAO! Great news, I love it how everytime something seems to be "XBox exclusive" it later winds up being released on the PS2. This even lessens my need for an XBox. Every good game that releases on it come out on another system, except of course those that are produced by Microsoft. |

| I have a personal vendetta against Microsoft because those s took over Halo from Bungie and made it an X-Box exclusive. It was supposed to be coming out for computer and not X-box but they stole it and now apparantly it's supposed to come out for PC but they've been saying that for months and months now and I think that Halo 3 will be released before this one comes out for PC :rolleyes: |

Hell they got an exlusive on Metal Gear solid 3.Its gonna rls for the x-box ahead of time before the ps2 version gets released. |

Oh well, the xbox is failing anyways.
You'd expect any publisher who puts some Great game on the Xbox to release it on the PS2 simply because they can get 5X the profits. |
