^^^ trance doesn't need to change into that, it may just borrow more elements and evolve to another sub-genre :) The more (real) different genres, the better it is ;)

It's because they know it's just liquid funk and, as you said, it's not new for them (it's new for us, mainly).

Well, junglists here would say trance'n'bass or trancestep to specify this sound though (which is the name I've mentioned a thousand times in this thread :D)

Where can I download any of these tunes??? I really couldn't find them in Kazaa or other softwares... Can you help me out?
thanks!

Soulseek has been taken over by junglists.
Remember: we never had this conversation :D

Maaz:

[16:56] * vermi listens to Sta & Paul B - Secrets Inside [pre-edit] (6:49/320) :D:D:D:D:D:D (*brag brag brag* - if you dont got it though:D:D:D:D)

i wouldnt exactly say its TnB, as it is more of the hard and raw dnb, like almost all the other Sta & Paul B productions, for example "F5" :)

I added this because of the trazny feeling of the tune, I know it's not the usual tnb were talking about :)

By the way, I've got this tune too (6:49/192) :D But I'm gonna talk to you later about it (gotta leave now) ;)

Currently listening to DJ Marky-LK (Marcus Intalex remix)

It's not trance n' bass but it's awesome drum & brazz liquid funk by the master Marky himself. So amazing!

ooh ooh ooh! some more quality D'n'B! I too have been converted to the magic music. Since that mixmag CD, I was sucked in, but am loathe to call it "Trance'n'BAss" I agree with Maaz on his sub-genre opinions.

I borrowed my friends Bass, Breaks and Bass CD, which is a bit commercial, but it has some quality tunes on it. It certainly suits my car audio system. Tunes like Dillinja - Twist 'Em Out and Total Science - Squash VIP are really nice. Not quite as "trancey" as the oter tunes, but good examples of the genre.

I've also converted some people to this new Trancestep ;) genre, my friend has a nice BMW with 4 Alpine Type R subwoofers in his trunk, and he loves how Raiden performs on them. According to him, the tune "has bass that lies in 2 fantastic frequencies, and the first two bass notes are excellent for street bass, as they are of high frequency, and the last two notes and excellent for SPL ratings, as they are close to the 20Hz zone"

Werd... I really admire Marky's work and I once saw some kind of biography and it was really touching because in the beginning, he would go to the clubs spin by bus (and sometimes he would take three buses to get there), carrying his case and stuff and he managed to convert most of São Paulo's Rappers into drum'n'bass. In fact, it's very weird to know that he's spinned hip-hop, hardcore and lots of other genres in the past :p

Heres the full tracklist and Mixmag's description.

1. John B & Libbey Picken - Electrofreek (John B's Epic Mix)
Get your spot on the Dancefloor, and make sure you've got some water, cos this is shimmering vocal trance n bass to get things jumping. Its also an Exclusive. Epic? Its Apocalyptic.

2. John B - Blue Eyeshadow
The first taster of John B's fascination of all things 80's, with it's ' Blue Monday' style beats. If the rest of John's electro stuff is this good, DJ Hell better get on the blower to him.

3. Concord Dawn - Morning Light
The New Zealand pair may be fresh to the scene in the UK, but they're used to it grimed up and meaty down under. This getting banged all over town.

4. Teebee - Severed Dreams
This is the soun of your head on naughties getting flushed down the Fabric toilets by a fit bird. Teebee is the Norwegian behind the Sasha sampling, Expander sounding Trance n Bass classic - Guilty

5. Cause4Concern - Moongerm
Their remix of Helicopter is blowing up and this is sublime dancefloor destruction. Mind your Ears.

6.Concord Dawn - Aurora
Another razor wire of ethereal production. This one goes off live, we're told, and if u get the chance to c them, take it.

7. Raiden - Fallin
This combines middle Eastern bird-wailing with nastu beats and basslines and trancey melodies.

8. Concord Dawn feat Scopic - Take Me Away
Take me away, sings a voice as the buzz of a cloud of mutant wasps closes in with the filtihiest bassline to batter your speakers in time. Tune.

9. Techincal Itch & Kemal - The Calling
Synth - Heavy Carnage

10. Plex - Speedfreak
720 degrees, resposible for leftfield DnB used to be an offshoot of good Looking Records, til Blame took it over. Speedfreak is more of the same.

11. John B & Natalie Warren - Mirror of Thought
The kind of une that gets die hard junglists reaching for their glowsticks. Vocal trance n bass for beat freaks and cyber kids.

12. D-Kay & Rawfull - Be There 4 U
D n B used to be just about ;loops and breaks . In 2002, vocal tracks like this scream for exposure.

13. Klute - Transform
Klute, has been around, since time begun. He used to make skate punk, but thankfully, turned to the dark side. This is one of the earlies examples of T n B.
