that's called evolution of your music taste, everyone goes through it, but basically when one gets into trance he will most probably end up liking prog :)

that happened to me aswell, 2-3 months ago If you told me I would like prog as much as do now I would probs think you are

dont call it evolving cause just because you change your style doesnt mean everyone else will like that

its personal opinion really

i love progressive but i tend to like uplifting trance better.. simply because of the fact that its pumping and funner to dance to

i wouldnt say its an evolution in style.. just simply a change.. its different

I agree because not everyone is goin to evolve, and the people who do are not necessarily goin to evolve into prog. Its just a change of speen in my opinion. Becuase i still love uplifting, its the main gig right now but prog is another form of music im interested in.

This should be the last thread i post but since starting to dj now, I'm getting more and more into progressive. Its a great sound to mix in with techno and even in some of my uplifting sets. As far as live sounds go i really like progressive, and the amount of originality in songs is quite high. I'm not totally changed over but Im starting to understand why so many like it. I still think John Digweed is boring but I've even gone so as to far purchase some Bedrock recs, like "Lovely Day". So i in short apologize to all prog heads for bashing what i did not know, especially bedrock and amit, and wonder how did u get into prog?

I am just exactly the same as you... I began djing and now sudden of all i fell in love with prog.. yeah i still find digweed boring too but stuff that Lemon 8 , Superchumbo , Tarrentella & Redanka , Robbie Rivera , Filterheadz does is what i like now.. Some Marco V sets are just my type of music.. Begins with prog. stuff and turns into trance at the end of the set..(club eau 11-24-01 is a good example) Trance has a special place in my heart though :) but just as you say i don't hate prog. anymore :) it's simple , quality music is always good...

Like I said before. Progressive takes a bit more time to understand and like. It's really great music but I still prefer uplifting trance.

I totally agree with you. I feel exactly the same way!!

This years top progressive dj would have to be JAMES ZABIELA!! If you haven't heard his sets go get them now!!!!
top tune at the moment

Sasha vs. Mike Kolgin - Wavy Gravy vs. Silence

I heard Sasha, play this live @ Ultimate Christmas Ball. He drop this tune in Hong Kong, in December and the crowd was going nuts!!!!!
Great Outdoors
He played this as his last track when he was here in Singapore's Zouk Club on Christmas Eve. It's a little too breaky to be honest and it kinda spoilt the ambient beauty of the original Wavy Gravy in my opinion.. Cass played it when he was here too.

Stassi
It seems that The progressive flu has been going around lately.
