How can I get this effect? Please help!

Okay guys, I don't have FruityLoops yet (still waiting for it) but I already have an idea for a song and I want to use a certain effect that is very popular in hard Trance. I'm sure you've heard it many times.

HERE IS A SAMPLE of what I mean. I call it "steel bass" -- it's not the main bass, but it's a "2-way" secondary bass that goes like this, _-_-_-

Could you tell me how to create this effect in Fruity? What synths to use and what settings (envelope, LFO, whatever...) I don't know that much about synths yet, just wanna get that cool "steel"-type, "warm" effect, which is very popular, esp. in German tracks. THANKS! :)

that's not hard to build at all, it 2 sawtooth oscillators, detuned....and...that's about it. In the sample there's a Lowpass filter that's being tweaked from low to high

Further to what Pjotr said, try running the synth through a chorus effect too.

And if you're building a secondary bass, it may be necessary to avoid it conflicting with the main bass by running the secondary one through a high-pass filter. Set it to take off the very lowest frequencies on the secondary to leave your main bass without competition in the lowest frequencies. I find sometimes this produces a more even overall sound.

Thank you, guys!
I'll try it and see what happens!

Thanks a lot
But now I have another problem, it can't load the file because it can't find the "Fruity Parametric EQ Plug-in."

This plug-in was introduced in 3.11 and I have 3.
Do you know where I can get this Parametric EQ library?
thanks
