hey i want to join on the badnwagon of best and worst of computers. So in your opinion what is the worst computer HARDWARE ever made.
In my opinion PCI video cards are the worst things ever made. The PCI slot runs so much like it is not even worth buying an advanced graphic card. For people like that have a stupid HP you have no choice because some dont come with a AGP slot. so what is your worst HARDWRE ever made? |

Yeh Onboard crap definatly sucks.
I've got one with an onboard everything but I had a seperate Gforce put in it. (For all I know is that Gforce is king of the world:D)
The soundcard just decided to die a while ago so I had to put a PCI card in it, but the new card doesn't work with xp so I had to get rid of it and put Win2K back on. And I love XP! :sadgreen: |

in theory that statement says all conectors on a motherboard are gay, as usb, hard drive conrolers etc are all contrlled by onboard chip sets..... soz for being a geek |

anything is crap only if you buy a really crappy brand :eyes: you people have no idea wat your talking about...on-board sound is good in GOOD MOTHERBOARDS such as Asus & Abit..these are world's 2 leading motherboard brands ;) if you buy a brand computer for e.g. Compaq (HP is owned by Compaq btw), or IBM, depending on the cpu chip that is giving, you will most likely have a good motherboard. Intel has its own motherboards making and they are pretty good but very expensive (whats new about Intel anyways :rolleyes: )...
point is there is no worst hardware coz it depends wat kind of motherboard you have..i have ECS mobo and its really crappy..on-board sound sux, the udma support is only 66/100, where most hard-drives nowadays run under 133, 2 ddr slots that support ??? knows what since the manual of the mobo is so cheap :rolleyes:
all in all, if you get a good mobo, then you wont have any crappy hardware.... |
