Review: Matt Hardwick @ Viva (pg. 2)

Let's see...where do I begin? (I don't wanna retell the story a million times)
Pre-meetup was really awseme, biggest turn out I've experienced, we got to chat a lot and get to know each other a little bit more :D
We got in the club around 11:30ish...and I don't 'think' it was Ivals on there...as RJ said, a lot of mixing "experimentations" :tongue3 Eventually Ivals got on, I truthfully don't remember much of his set, I have no idea why. I'm pretty sure it was good, very few tracks I could ID but great feel.
Then Hardwick came on! In the first 5 minutes I knew this guy was awseme! I reconized more than half his tracks, but I forgot most of them :rolleyes: I remember him playing Alex Bartlett - Amnesia (Flutlicht vs SHOKK Remix)...Albinoni by Rollerball (Super 8 Remix)...The Council of Elrond by Enya (don't recognize the remix)....lots of really good stuff, IMO the BEST set I have ever heard in my life! the tracks flowed perfectly, his mixing was flawless, the crowd was so awseme (Like Flec said, all the TAs starting chanting Hardwick, Hardwick, Hardwick)...not as many cracked out ppl at Viva tonight. He read the crowd perfectly.
Most TAs left after Hardwick, that's when my eyes got 20 pounds heavier and my voice box stopped working :p ...sorry to those who were saying goodbye near the end, my throat was in pain so all I could do was smile and nod :D

I have just three letters to describe Matt Hardwick last night:
WOW
Track after track of trance, trance that I never heard before!! It was strictly goose-bump music and that even got me going in the booth. And to top that all off he said he had like 10 unreleased tracks that he would have liked to play but didn't cause they were on CD. Unreal, Matt is a class act and IS a superstar in the making.
Toronto will most definitely be seeing him again in the summer time, so for those who missed him this time be sure you catch him the next time he comes through.

omg highroller, those ginos in front of us. i have no idea what they were doing. either totally cracked out of their mind....or something else. i dunno. and they kept ing pushing all of us back with their homo-dancing.then later on those 3 azn dudes cracked out of their mind were in a congo line cause they could barely walk. lol.
so many damn 30 yr old women walking around yesterday nite. :p but it had its share of hotties.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH god last night Mr.Hardwick took me to a journey,the whole night my eyes were closed,and goosebumps all over.He droped bomb after bomb none stop.UNBELIAVABLE!!!!!He played nothing but epic and uplifting trance,I havent heard a set like that since I cant even even remember,and to be honest here I loved his set more then Tiesto:eek:.(ready to get flammed :( )
So I would like to thank Mr.Hardwick for his superb performance last night,and hope to see him again soon.
It was a pleasure seeing all the TA's last night,you guys are great!! cant wait till Feb.1!!
every time I go to viva,it gets better and better, this time they put new plasma Tv's,MOOOORE LAZERS ( I LOOOVE LAZERS :crazy: )

Ok, i got up an hour ago.
Here are my thoughts.
First off, Wikked to meet all of you in person.
Second, thanks to Elmo who lent me 2 glo sticks and everyone else for trying to teach me how to use em. I think i kinda got it near then end but ill tell you how much i hate my left hand because its not nearly as flexible as my right so it keeps n laggin me.
I love how my hair was taller then most of the folks there an i say the word folks cuz there were more chinese moms than TA's! Not that there is anything wrong with that. I saw like 2 white girls the whole night. Really strange crowd, thats all... made tha night that much more interesting.
music was awsome, sound lasers, tv's playing anime, all good.
Pics are nice too, kinda funny, im dancing and then i stop to look at elmo and the flash just went off, thats the one (one of them) where i look really suprised.
I had to leave at around 4 ish cuz well, if i didn;t i would fail university. My windshield was totally frozen and i could only see through one small bit at the bottom where it meet my dash. I turn out on to woodbine and thinking im on the right side of the road, the on coming car swearving out the way and the median i almost hit, i prolly shoulda scaped my windshield... Heh next time.
Overall. Was a great night. s'what i love to do.
Ill have my raver goggles fixed by the next party. |
