well, i solved problem 2 of "question about new carts"
the little piece of metal included isnt a spacer to have the cartridge lower to the vinyl. (if it is, it makes almost no difference. it only spaces it about 1 mm downward)
it actully is a weight that adds about 2 grams to the overall weight of the headshell.
my question is, what would happen if there is more weight on the headshell (eg, the 2 gram deally), but the counterweight was adjusted so there still is the recommended weight? (i currently have mine set at 3 grams)
gee, im just full of questions. also, how far forward, or back should the cartridge be in the headshell? |
