MP3.com sucks

Has anyone Noticed that MP3.com treats electronic artist like crap compared to artist in other genres. I manage a few Trance Producers world wide one in which is Digital Explosion who was the current #1 in the charts up until 2 weeks ago when MP3.com pulled there page because they said they broke the rules....... Has anyone else here who has tracks on MP3.com having trouble with them or had trouble with them in the past.
Mr.Mystery
Try to find someone Mp3.com hasn't ever screwed up...
Dreamstate
You are very right my friend. It's a matter of Big business screwing over the little guys who make them all their money in the first place. What makes it worse is MP3.com is owned by a company that owns like 3 companies so just think of how many people are getting screwed over every second.....lol
Mr.Mystery
Yes indeed - nowadays it seems that first they encourage you to bribe them to get better chart spots and when it succeeds they suspend your account for "gaming"...

I know several people who've been scammed this way...
Dreamstate
Thats the same reason Digital Explosion had there Page put on hold because of gaming. it's funny also because Digital Explosion had a premium account where they paid money and also paid more for advertising... Now that MP3.com owes them Thousands of Dollars it's like they don't know us anymore.

If you know of any artist in the past few months who went through the same thing as Digital Explosion is it possible that you can get me in contact with them because we are taking legal action against MP3.com.

Thanks
Kirby
Aren't Astral Projection and Infected Mushroom originally, if not still, mp3.com artists? Also, the Cynic Project is quite nice I think. I agree with you though... I have heard lots of not so good electronic music from there, the one good song I've heard recently was called Concreate Dreams - Dance Nation, which had two nice themes throughout the song, and although no singable main tune, it had a somehow addictive catch to it...the beat was also very very Svenson-&-Gielen-esque with an uplifting, light sound...did anyone else like this song?

There is tons of talent on MP3.com. There is alot of awesome Trance Producers on there. Trance[]Control, Digital Explosion owned the Charts on MP3.com in the electronica genre and also had top 40 chart hits on MP3.com they charted up there with Major recording artist like eminem, avril, and so on.
Blue.
Airbase is on MP3.com. Well he was last time I checked although I'm sure he's with a label by now considering all his amazing work.

I don't think they were originally mp3.com artists; they just put their songs on there to download after they were already successful like a lot of other goa producers who did the same (Etnica, MFG, Yahel).

By the way, what is 'gaming'?

Mp3.com used to be good back in the day....I don't even think you had to pay to be an artist and even then you could get paid. Then it changed that the only way you could get paid was if you were a premium artist which costs $20 a month...money most artists don't make in a month so they will lose money. A lot of bull followed and now most don't even bother with mp3.com

Too true, and a very unfortunate state of affairs. I was introduced to trance via MP3.com (I'll bet I'm not the only one) and it's sad to see the artists whose productions form the basis of my early trance memories abandon the site in droves. Sure, most of them will find somewhere else to upload their music but MP3.com was the biggest and ensured the greatest exposure possible for unsigned artists. The ball was in their court and they simply tried to take more than what was theirs; what's sad is it's the artists and their listeners who will suffer. :(
