DO NOT get the mdr-vCRAP series.. only good mdr is the v6...
which is an absolute steal for its price.. excellent sound reproduction, although the highs can be quite shrill. either that or get the sennheiser hd-280pro.. both are suitable for dj/listening..

want more info?

DJ_Shockwav
although the mdr-v500 lack in sound quality
they're alright for bedroom djing and are easily powered for listening to cds

but once you start playing out more often, you'll want to upgrade to a better set of cans

I have the MDR V7 and they work great!

They are quite expensive though but I love them! :D

sony = the l0se.

i had a pair of sony headphones, v somthings, and they broke after like 4 months. now, they're in my basment, taped together, and i only use them when my parents bitch at me to turn down the bass :(

Anyway!

My mdr V7 are great and I had them for a while!

They are also very flexable!

I guess everyone has it's own opinion!

Mpl4ever, please give the FULL model number of the headphones that you're using! Which 'MDR V7' are you talking about? The old MDR-V7 (which is a deluxe version of the OLD MDR-V6, which relatively kicks @$$), or the current MDR-V700DJ (which sounds unbalanced and murky, just like the rest of the MDR-VCRAP line)?

Oh, BTW, don't confuse the MDR-V6 with the newer MDR-V600. The MDR-V600 sounds artificially echo-ey, harsh, almost bass-less - and it sucks just as badly for the $$$ as the rest of the MDR-VCRAP series.

Mpl4ever
I like them!
The sound is not unbalanced and murky at all!
Plus they are really flexible.
Anyway, I love them!
If they were that ty, they would be a lot of big DJ using them!!!
