I hope this is released. I know I'd buy it. And it's set in such a cool place as well. The fact that it is set in Reykjavik is enough for me to want to buy it. :p

Anyone who even thinks about downloading it while the GU label is so screwed financially (regardless of the reasons) deserves a kick in the teeth. |
Werd.
I need some new CDs. I soon as I can get some cash I'll spend it on a few GUs, for sure. |

I second that to the power of 10. :D
/me waits patiently for my copy of GU-024...
/me also bought GU: Electric Calm CD a couple of weeks ago and has been on infinite-repeat ever since.
One thing I noticed about the Electric Calm album. It is packaged in a cheap clear DVD-plastic case, with a SMALL sticker on the front cover. Inside contained a small leaflet featuring the tracklist. @ first I thought it was some ty priated copy, but I was assured it was'nt (that and the price tag of $40!).
Could this have been an early sign of their financial situation ??? |

picked up GU019 Digweed in LA today! :D
I haven't listened to it yet, but the tracklist looks great. It's suppose to be a masterpiece. I hope I'm not let down by it. And for $45 it better be good! :p |

Heheh...it's true to a point, the fat lads did have a lavish lifestyle..and that's one of the contributions to GU going under.
The Global Underground cds have been awesome...some bad ones (ala Paul Oakenfold), but the majority of them are amazing pieces of work. The whole concept has been a trend setter and has been one of the leaders in the mix compilation genre.
Pity to see it going under, but i'm hoping they'll survive and continue to push the envelope in terms of originality. The Electric Calm, Afterhours and Steve Lawler's 'Lights Out' cds were all ing wicked, I love em to death!!! |

| Lies Pointy, Oakenfolds 007 in New York is good, and one of my favourites i think. |

Oakenfolds 007 is a disgrace!! The mixing is horrible, doesn't run smoothly at all. There's some dope tracks on their ie: Jamie Anderson, Taste Experience, E Mantra aaa from cd1 n the first 2 on cd2 plus one or two others...but the mixing, me...it's so awkward...its simply too obvious and sounds like !! Oakies GU from Oslo is pretty cool though...i absolutely adore the dnb disc, en wicked stuff :)
I didn't like Digweeds set from Hong Kong...i like prog, but that was just too progressive for me :o |
