i've been inspired a lot by Cave - Magalenha so i thought why not try some new drums with the same vocals ? the result IMO is OK but not as good as Cave's work :p
the vocals are of course taken from Sergio Mendes - Magalenha while the drums are from Redhead - Loop A & Loop B (Humanized EP)

the first second of each sample is a bit "weird" i was trying as much as possible to match the beats with the vocals that's why :) |

and that whole drum thing, sounds alot like capoera music.

Agreed about the capoera music. I believe the original of those vocals was a Sama track.

Pure class!!! You know how much I loved Cave's Magalenha, and these samples are just as good as the original - just gotta work a bit more on them :)
By the way... it doesn't really sound like capoeira music to me... maybe because I can understand the lyrics of this one :D
(don't ask me why, but in usual capoeira songs they say a lot of things that don't seem to make much sense whatsoever :p) |
