What do you guys do to add like sound effects in your songs?
Do you guys download sound fx samples and put them in your track or do you use a synth to make the sound you want?
And also... How do you know when to add certain sounds and when to not add certain sounds... when does adding a sound enhance the feeling or sorta kills the mood of the song?
just wondering because whenever i make my own sound effects using synths, it takes a LONG time to get it to sound right and when i use sample synths, it doesn't seem to want to fit with my track...
also, where's a good site to download effects samples??

i always try to make my own sound fx, but sometimes i just have to use fx samples and edit them because i can`t get the desired sound.
about how to know if a sound suits your track, i think thats what makes you a good producer, it`ll take time till u`ve mastered it.
