That's the cost of living comfortably.

You see, this kind of thing really pisses me off, because I'm always hearing about how people can't afford to eat in developed countries and really IMO that's totally bull.

Here's what I'd call the actual cost to live (I'll try doing this in pounds, but my conversions might be off a bit):

Decent appartment in a low-cost area: £250/month
Electric: £30/month
Water: £30/month
Public Transport: £40/month
Food: £30/month [eat cheap, i.e. pasta which costs about £1 for eight servings]
Misc: £50/month

Which comes to £5160 per year. You need to make about £100 every week. If you've got 4 people, at least two of them can probably work, so that's £50 each per week. Frankly, I think you could make that much begging.

Living sux... but when your dead it sux even more...

Death is the easy way out of living... but living is what makes you feel alive and make us move on, what you need is to work your way around things...

UK is so expensive! There are legends here at my place about a pack of cigs costing in UK as much as a dinner in a restaurant here!

And yes, I bought my Politics of Dancing CD for 40 PLN (that's about 10$) :D

the uk is very expensive and I hate it cos i cant work for health reasons, so im given £65 a week, and by the time bills are gone and just living normally with food etc, theres hardly owt left so I can't buy music & support artists or goto the Reebok & watch the wanderers :(
