Ill repost this. Sorry.
I have my first track that I produced up on AcidPlanet.com. If you could take a listen to it and tell me what you think that would be great. Just click on the "play" link on the right hand side of the screen, across from the title of the song "Untitled". I'm always open for criticism, constructive or not, about my music. Let me know what you think of this track.

| Pretty good, i really like the piano. The strings are ok too. The only thing is that the beats are a little hollow and amuture sounding, you need to fill them out a bit more. I agree that the piano sound is definetely familiar from somewhere |

| What do you mean the beats are amateur and hollow? How can I fix this? I use Reason 1.0 to make my music. What advice can you give me to fix this hollow sound? Thanks a lot guys. |

| beef it up with another kick sample... mix and match the volumes til it sounds good. could also put a lil reverb on it, cut down the sample length a bit if u do this. also.. COMPRESSOR! |

| compressor on the kick or on the whole mix? ive heard people say I should use a compressor but I dont really like the way it kills the sound (maybe Im just not using it right). Anyway, I should be getting Reason 2.0 today, so I'll rework the song with more samples, maybe some new sounds....who knows. Can someone explain a lil more about using the compressor? Thanks. |
