No, this isn't another "I like someone but I don't know what to do" thread.
I'm in a little bit of a dilemma. I currently work a 9-5 office job that pays $9.50 an hour and I've been looking for a job with better pay.
Tonight I went to play pool at the same place I go every night & while I was sitting at the bar I started talking to the owner/bartender. He was telling me all about expansions that he's going to do to the bar & then we started talking about him needing new people. He then offered me a full time job with all the proper training & licenses for bartending.
Now I wouldn't mind doing it, but I'm just not sure about the job security & pay. He said I'd be making around $7-8 per hour plus tips. That's the part that scares me b/c lets say I want to finance a car, there's no way of knowing whether or not I'd be able to pay it off or not b/c some nights can be slower than others? What do u guys recomend? I'm going to talk to him again on saturday & I pretty much have to have a decision by then. |
